ECCE Scheme – The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)

Each child can get up to 2 free pre-school years before they start primary school.

Children can start ECCE in September 2024 if they are 3 years old by December 31st, 2024. Then they can continue until they transfer to primary school (provided that they are not older than 5 years and 6 months at the end of the pre-school year).

Eligibility for ECCE:

We are now taking bookings for our 2024/25 ECCE year.

Please book your child’s place at info@caireen.ie for the September 2024 ECCE year.

ECCE Session Types offered:

Sessional Services – For the ECCE sessional service, is 3 hours a day, over 38 weeks. If your child attends for more than that, you will just be charged for the extra time.

Full Day Care Services – If your child attends full-time, the subsidy received for the ECCE, which covers 3 hours a day for 38 weeks will be deducted from your full day care fee. Once the 38 weeks of the ECCE term are over the fee will revert to the service full day care fee.

We are happy to tell you that our Tusla Inspection took place today and went very well.

We are waiting to receive our report and registration. Once received, we will have our exact opening date.
