Full Daycare
We offer this service for babies from 9 months old right up to Preschool.
Babies
Recognising how hard it can be for many parents to hand over the care of their baby for the first time, our Babycare rooms are designed to be warm and welcoming places while our professional carers will provide you with much needed support and reassurance during this important settling-in or transition period and beyond. Nobody knows your child better than you, so we will adapt to meet your baby’s needs and follow routines that you know work best for your baby. We will work closely to make sure you are satisfied with how your baby is settling in, ensuring that they are content and comfortable in their new surroundings. Throughout the settling-in period your baby will become familiar with our carers giving you further peace of mind.
While babies need to feel loved they also need to explore the world around them through their senses. Every aspect of our Babycare rooms is designed to help babies make the most of this experience with the guidance and support of our dedicated Babycare team. We encourage interaction and feedback from parents and can provide detailed reports on new baby experiences that have occurred throughout a particular week.
Available on a full-day care basis, this is designed specifically for babies from 9 to 12 months. Our bright and cosy baby daycare rooms enable us to give your baby lots of individual attention. With restful sleep facilities and dedicated nappy changing areas, direct access to the outdoors and freshly cooked nutritional meals you can be assured that your baby is getting the best of care. Daily records are maintained for each child so you can monitor your baby’s routine and follow their progress as we introduce them to sensory stimulation and play.
As your baby becomes more independent, their routines will be given more structure with periods of play, outdoor activity and their very own individual sleep time and all with lots of tender love and care.
Wobblers
As your baby grows older, they will naturally progress into one of our Wobbler Rooms. This usually occurs between 12 and 24 months of age. By then your child will be more mobile and ready to explore new surroundings making this an exciting time also. Our Wobbler rooms are designed to stimulate your child’s development of their sensory and motor skills. At this stage your child will be learning how to walk and explore. Nurturing their self esteem and building your child’s confidence and socialising skills is key, along with understanding their ability to interact with the world around them. We realise that while children at this age need time to explore, they also need as much if not more reassurance and attention than they did as babies.
In our Wobbler Rrooms we use a range of resources to stimulate your child with structured periods for both play and sleep, which are equally important at this stage in their development. All our rooms are designed with your child’s developmental needs in mind, ensuring that they can learn, play and grow.
Toddlers
Once your child becomes steady on their feet they will graduate to our Toddler Rooms. This transition normally happens between the ages of 24 and 36 months. We believe that each stage of a child’s development requires a setting, where they are exposed to new and stimulating learning experiences, preparing them for the next stage in their development.
This is an exciting time for children as their minds are absorbing every bit of information. Their language and personality become very distinct as they form attachments.
In our Toddler Rooms there is an emphasis on arts and crafts, jigsaws, books, word games and learning from our trained educators. Children have regular and periodic rest and play periods with free play promoted. Children work at their own pace and are encouraged to be comfortable with themselves and other children, while being encouraged to learn and develop their own levels of concentration.
In our Toddler Rooms your child’s personality will begin to emerge and develop along with their natural interest in exploring and figuring things out. During this time, our Educators will work with you to help toilet train your child. Each day will bring more new experiences for your child and with encouragement and support from our dedicated Educators. You will have peace of mind knowing that your child is being cared for in a loving, safe and stimulating environment. By the time your child is ready to leave the Toddler Rooms they will have good level of communication and will be well on their way to forming their own ideas.
Pre-schoolers 3 Years and over
This is designed to provide a seamless transition between school and early years. Our staff work to create a healthy, happy and safe environment for children where they can learn, play and grow. We support this process with policies and procedures designed to protect your child while they are in our care. Every member of our team is focused on your child’s development and works to provide a warm and caring atmosphere where your little one can reach their full potential.
Our Preschool programmes will ensure your child is more than ready for their next move to the ‘BIG SCHOOL’. By this time your child will be gently introduced to a more structured school environment. Children adapt and become used to sitting on a chair at a table and to concentrate for longer periods of time. Knowing that all children develop at different stages, our Pre-school rooms are structured so as to enable our Educators to assess your child’s development in managing any of the different tasks that are set out to prepare them for the next phase of their development .
We have an inquiry based curriculum which enables children to become more involved and engrossed in activities as they are based on their own areas of interests. Our Educators will have a detailed understanding of your child’s strengths and can prepare a plan to address their individual needs with activities prepared accordingly. Many of these activities are designed to develop your child’s motor skills, language, imagination and emotional and social awareness, and are presented in a fun manner encouraging learning through playing. Each of our rooms is fully equipped with the latest teaching resources appropriate to the age group with daily reports available on how your child is progressing in their journey of playing , learning and growing. Using the very best Early Childhood Education Techniques, our Educators will build upon your child’s early literacy and numeracy skills. Your child will also partake and enjoy arts and crafts, drama, singing and dancing. With regular updates on your child’s progress from our Educators, you will be able to enjoy your child’s growing up.
Saying goodbye to our ‘Caireens” will be an equally difficult time for our staff. However, we are confident that we will have played a part in your child’s development and journey of playing, learning and growing.
Sessional Care
This is offered on either 3 or 4 hours per day for at a minimum of 2 days per week.
Our opening hours are from 7.30am–6.30pm, daily over 52 weeks of the year. We are closed for Bank Holidays, Easter and the Christmas period. We offer a range of flexible and individualised childcare packages designed with working parents in mind.
